02 — The house
Where letters were once posted, travellers now sleep.
Built in the 18th century, the house once served as a post office. It has recently been fully renovated and now holds four modern apartments, while the name Stara Pošta (the Old Post Office) keeps its history alive.
A historic house outside, modern comfort inside: underfloor heating and cooling, heat-recovery ventilation and a full kitchen in every apartment.

Is Stara Pošta a good stopover on the way to Croatia?
Yes. The house is 2 minutes from an exit of the A2 motorway towards Zagreb. You park right by the house and check in without waiting, so the stop needs no detour.
Is parking free?
Yes. The car park is right next to the house and free for guests.
Can I arrive late in the evening or at night?
Yes. Check-in is self-service, any time from 3 pm. Your key is waiting in a key safe.
How far is it to Ljubljana and the airport?
Ljubljana city centre is about 15 minutes by car, Ljubljana railway station is 16 km away and Jože Pučnik Airport 39 km.
What time is check-out?
Check-out is by 10 am. Early check-in or late check-out is possible on request, when available.
Are pets and smoking allowed?
No. Smoking, pets, parties and events are not allowed. Quiet hours are from 10 pm to 7 am.
